Schedule and Timetable
A schedule is an agenda or list of details for doing things. The schedule usually appears in tabular form and contains the days or hours when the things take place. Another name for schedule is a timetable. In short, a timetable is a schedule that shows the times when certain things will happen; for example, when trains, buses or planes will arrive and depart; when lessons in our school will begin and finish, etc.
Now look at the timetable below. This timetable shows a squence of lessons in Lala’s college. Please study it and also read the letter she has just send to her friend, Alice.

Dear Alice,
Today is the first day of the college terms. I have just got my new timetable. The first lesson is English. This lesson begins at nine o’clock and finishes at ten to ten. The next lesson is Geography and then we have a break. The break lasts from twenty to elevan until five to elevan. The two lessons after the break are japanese and maths.
Tomorrow we have Physics until the break and the history and English. On Thursday we have my favourite subjects at ten fifty – five and twelve thirty – five. There are twenty lessons each week but they all take place in the morning. We are all very tired by lunchtime!
